Challenge

Premier Uniform Designs manages thousands of custom uniform programs every year, relying on a legacy CRM built in classic PHP with a large PostgreSQL backend. Over time, the system grew unevenly: each module developed its own logic, validations, and UI patterns, making the platform inconsistent and difficult to extend. Critical areas like inventory suffered from performance bottlenecks, duplicated logic created risk when adding features, and teams often faced mismatches between what they saw on screen and what the system exported or processed. As the business scaled, maintaining and evolving this fragmented architecture became increasingly challenging, slowing down daily operations and limiting the company’s ability to grow.

Goal

The goal was to modernize the CRM into a unified, reliable, and scalable platform that matches how Premier actually operates across production, sales, purchasing, accounting, and inventory. This required bringing consistency to every module, simplifying complex workflows, eliminating outdated patterns, and building a structure capable of supporting new features without breaking old ones. The vision was a system that reduces friction for teams, improves accuracy, handles large inventories efficiently, and provides a stable foundation for the company’s long-term growth.

Solution

The modernization efforts began with a full understanding of each department’s workflow, the structure of the legacy codebase, and how the existing database supported real business processes. From there, core issues were identified: inconsistent logic, slow inventory operations, unreliable exports, and overly complex screens. Key modules are being rebuilt using modern frameworks like Laravel and Vue, replacing procedural scripts with clean architecture, standardized APIs, and reactive interfaces. Features such as the Inventory Style editor, Size Scale management, and filtered exports have already been redesigned for clarity, performance, and stability. Fragmented logic is being consolidated into shared components, and heavy operations are being optimized to ensure smooth day-to-day use. The result is a CRM steadily evolving into a cohesive, modern platform ready to support Premier Uniform Designs’ growing operational demands.
